A compatible Samsung Galaxy handset should provide you an immediate popup to pair the Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Buds Live, or Galaxy Buds Pro when you open the case. But what if you want to utilize your Galaxy Buds with your laptop to work or study?

Connecting your Samsung earphones to a laptop requires only a few basic steps, varying slightly depending on which operating system you’re using.

Depending on whatever version of Windows you have, the procedures will alter slightly, but the steps beneath will lead you to the proper menus.

How to Connect Samsung Earbuds to a Laptop

  • If you’ve never associated your earphones with a device before, merely opening the case will do so. Put the earbuds in your ears and press and hold both touchpads until you hear a sequence of beeps signaling you are in pairing mode if you already paired them to a phone or another device.
  • Go to the Devices menu on your laptop. This may be found in the Settings menu in Windows 10.
  • If it isn’t already chosen, click Bluetooth & other devices.
  • Select Add Bluetooth or other devices from here, and your Samsung Buds will appear in this menu as long as they are in pairing mode (as described in step 1).
  • Your Galaxy Buds are now connected to your laptop when you select them. When you turn them on again, they should default to this laptop.

How to Pair Samsung Earbuds with a MacBook

All Mac laptops running macOS have the same setup and require you to go to the Bluetooth menu. This is how you do it.

  • If you’ve never associated your earphones with a device before, merely opening the case will do so. Put the earbuds in your ears and press and hold both touchpads until you hear beeps signaling you are in pairing mode if you already paired them with a phone or another device.
  • On macOS, go to the System Preferences menu and select Bluetooth.
  • If your earphones are in pairing mode, as described in step 1, they should display at the bottom of the items list beneath a thin gray bar. The Samsung buds are now paired when you click Connect next to them. When you switch them on again, they should default to this laptop.

Note: For a more straightforward pairing, go to the Bluetooth menu of all other devices that are associated with your earphones. Select Forget or Unpair from the list of Bluetooth devices to find your Galaxy Earbuds. This will make it easier for them to enter pairing mode.
